Melanie is a Registered Psychologist (BAPsych, PGradDipEd) who has over 20 years' experience in working with adolescents, their parents, and adults across the domains of mental health, wellbeing, and behaviour.
Having worked predominantly in school settings Melanie has a strong understanding regarding the challenges adolescents face during this complex stage of their lives. In addition to her work with adolescents, Melanie has worked with adults assisting them with a range of issues affecting their mental health including stressful life events, mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression, interpersonal and relationship issues, grief, and loss.
Melanie works with children, adolescents and adults, her areas of interest and expertise include:
School Issues – Stress, Study Skills, Motivation and Procrastination, School Refusal, Peer Relationship Difficulties

Melanie believes that a strong therapeutic relationship built on warmth, openness and trust in a safe and non-judgemental environment is vital to help individuals heal, energise, and become aware of their own strengths. She uses a strength-based approach and believes that identifying what is meaningful and important to us in life is the catalyst to inspire and empower positive changes.
Melanie’s counselling approach is suited to the individual client and may include a combination of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Walk and Talk Therapy and Animal Assisted Therapy.
