Intellectual Disabilities are characterised by limitations in intellectual functioning and adaptive behavior. Prevalence rates vary globally, with diagnosis typically occurring before the age of 18. This condition may manifest as mild, moderate, severe, or profound, depending on the severity of limitations in functioning. Diagnosis involves comprehensive assessments to determine the severity of limitations and individual needs.
